One of the key principles of the Daimler Group is to participate in the local communities where we do business.
Mercedes-Benz Australia/Pacific Pty Ltd is firmly committed to corporate citizenship. This philosophy encompasses all stakeholders, communities, customers and business partners.
Our Philosophy
Mercedes-Benz Australia/Pacific Pty Ltd has two pillars of social commitment, defined as sponsorship and philanthropy.
Mercedes-Benz Australia/Pacific Pty Ltd takes a dynamic approach towards sponsorship. We make a distinction in these activities between those on the corporate level and those focusing on particular brands in our portfolio such as Mercedes-Benz, Smart and Freightliner.
Corporate sponsorship focuses on community-related issues and subjects suited to the company as a whole.
Brand sponsorship is target group-oriented and focuses on marketing particular brands as well as defining brand image.
Mercedes-Benz Australia/Pacific Pty Ltd also supports numerous community activities and charitable causes through its philanthropy.
Staff Charity Volunteer day
The Mercedes-Benz Australia Pacific Pty Ltd Staff Charity Volunteer day gives employees an opportunity to become involved in supporting a local charity.
Mercedes-Benz Australia Pacific Pty Ltd provides each employee with one day of Volunteer leave per year to encourage them to participate in activities that will provide support to the community. Recent activities undertaken by employees as part of this program have included replanting a section of Victoria’s Strzelecki Ranges and assisting at Sacred Heart Mission.
